Great highlands community bar... everyone is always welcome and they usually have great deals on beers.

Overall: Happy Hour: This really is a community tavern. I have come to know most of the employees and, although you're always going to have the occasional cranky server, the service is great and the staff is friendly and happy to be there. I know, also, that they take the time to choose people who will get along well and create a fun, community vibe. The atmosphere is wonderful, with new art monthly or bi-monthly and great seating, murals and super-cute tractor seat chairs in one area of the bar. Their shrimp tacos are TO DIE FOR and the chile rellenos are mind-blowing too (in a neighborhood full of awesome, traditional Mexican food, this place stands out among the crowds) They also have great drinks (think coin-style margaritas ) a million kinds of tequilas, and cheap beers on happy hour! Go there.

Happy Hour: Great place for brunch on the weekends with one of the most friendly wait staffs in Denver. Nice atmosphere with local artists on the wall and food was pretty good.

Welcome! Let me tell you a little about what sets El Camino Community Tavern above the rest. El Camino is a green restaurant. We recycle all of our bottles, cans, and cardboard and are 100% wind-powered. We donate 15% of gross sales every Monday to our local elementary schools Brown and Edison. We use as much local product as possible. From chiles to cervezas, we assure you that we are getting everything from as close to home as possible. During the spring and summer, you can enjoy the freshest mint, and cilantro, grown right on our roof top garden completely organically. We use all natural beef, chicken and pork. We make our salsas, guacamole, green chile, tamales, and desserts daily from scratch.
